OPUSCAPITA’S SOURCE-TO-PAY SOLUTION AWARDED WITH BME SEAL OF APPROVAL AND NOW OFFERS INTERFACE TO AMAZON BUSINESS

September 27, 2017

Helsinki, Dortmund, September 27, 2017 – OpusCapita, a company focusing on automating and digitizing companies’ procurement, invoicing and payment processes, has been awarded with the Seal of Approval by a respected industry expert: The Association for Supply Chain Management, Procurement, and Logistics (BME, Bundesverband Materialwirtschaft, Einkauf und Logistik).

The BME is the leading professional association for supply chain managers, buyers, and logisticians in Germany and Central Europe and granted the BMEnet Seal of Approval for Supplier Relation Management for OpusCapita’s Source-to-Pay solution portfolio. Furthermore the solution now offers an interface to the B2B network Amazon Business.

”The Seal of Approval by the widely accepted BME organization and the implemented interface to the Amazon Business network confirms the maturity of OpusCapita’s eProcurement suite and the whole Source-to-Pay offering. Being granted this certificate and implementing the new interface shows that the features and functionalities of our solutions are up to the highest standards and requirements in the field,” says Marco Schulten, Managing Director DACH region at OpusCapita.

The Seal of Approval stands for the tested quality, market transparency, and reliability of a software system, and serves as a guide to companies in different industrial and service sectors looking to invest in a system solution for supply chain management, procurement, or logistics. The criteria for the Seal of Approval touched upon supplier relation management along the entire value chain, including for instance supplier onboarding and supplier information management, sourcing processes, e-catalogs and electronic workflows in purchasing, and invoice automation. The new connectivity to the network of Amazon Business is a further added value for efficient eProcurement.

“Enabling supplier collaboration is becoming more and more important area of focus in procurement, all the way from finding the business partner, sourcing and contracting to buying and paying, and in the end even evaluating the supplier and the purchased products and services. The great result on the assessment by BME and the Amazon Business connection reaffirms our strong capabilities to provide customer companies with efficiency for each of the steps in the end-to-end process, supporting smooth interactions between buyers and suppliers,” adds Dirk Fischbach, Head of Product Line Procurement & Invoice Automation.

OpusCapita’s solution for Source-to-Pay is unified and cloud-based – delivering sourcing, procurement, accounts payable and expense management and is connecting organizations to their trading partners through the OpusCapita Business Network. Additionally, OpusCapita also now offers an interface that links OpusCapita’s Online Product Catalog (OPC) with Amazon’s professional online store system. Amazon Business has been a new marketplace for business customers since December 2016. Companies of all sizes can register for Amazon Business free of charge to save time and money on commercial purchases. With the use of Amazon Business, companies can meet their needs with more than 100 million products, including company-specific purchasing guidelines and purchasing processes. The step directly into the Amazon B2B shop from the online catalog system of OpusCapita is done by an automated punch-out process. Orders placed at Amazon remain in the shopping basket of the OpusCapita system. This means the procurement processes runs “under management” and thus ensures legal and transparent purchasing control.
